Training and educating Chinese students in the relevant fields, analytical skills, and language competence required for a better understanding of the United States and its peoples. The CAS members provide courses on the campus to both undergraduates and graduates. The CAS organizes bi-weekly colloquia, inviting Chinese and American intellectuals to give lectures on issues concerning the United States and Sino-U.S. relations. |
Cooperation & Exchange |
Fostering exchanges and communication among scholars and students in China and the United States. The CAS accepts visiting scholars from China and other countries to conduct American studies at the Center. The CAS also sponsors and co-sponsors a series of international conferences and seminars, on topics of common interest to the Chinese and American people. |
Consultation |
Offering consultation to private and public sectors concerned with the United States as a means of assistance in their policymaking and strategic planning. The CAS encourages its members, by provide consulting services to private and public sectors in China. The extensive knowledge and penetrating analysis of its members have been highly appreciated by those who are seeking advice in the decision-making process. |
