The development of China, and the development of the world, on all sides faces uncertain challenges. Even if China has clear-cut plans for its own development, it is still confronted with a different reality at the global scale: international society, especially in the west, is still anxious about China's development. The inner doubts and uncertainties of westerners towards China do reflect those of the entire world, but they also show that the west is concerned about its own status, and the uncertainties of its own future. China's future interests are closely tied to those of the world at large. Therefore, global uncertainties have become one of the principal factors related to China's development.
