Common Intersts and Difference of China and U.S. in the Middle East

Abstract

The U.S. is a hegemony state in the world while China is a regional power with increasing influences in the world. In the Middle East, China and America share far-ranging common intersts on many isses, including energy securiy, anti-proliferation,anti-terrorism ans maintaining regional stability. But because of differences in national strength, international status and cultural traditions,there are structural divergence and contradiction between China and America. With the rise of China, it is likely for China and the U.S. to have more opportunities for cooperation and competition as well in the Middle East.
