The Challenge and Transformation of Modern Diplomatic Institutions in Globalization Time

Abstract

Globalization is a very important characteristic of our times. With the development of globalization, international politics and domestic politics have been intermixed and the institutional system of modern states has also been changed greatly. As one of the important parts of modern state system, the transformation of modern diplomatic institutions has become an inevitable trend of our times. Through exploring the impact of globalization, especially the rise of global civil society, on modern diplomatic institutions, we can grasp the future direction of diplomatic institutions. Based on examining the concept and formation of modern diplomatic institutions and the influence of globalization on the institutions, the paper comes to the conclusion: the new democratic diplomacy will be the transformational direction of modern diplomatic institutions.
