Abstract
Anarchy is one of the most important concepts in the theories of international relations. However , there are quite a few misperceptions resulted in common sense that leads to misunderstanding. This paper examines the relations between anarchy and nature of nations , violence , and authority. And it suggests that , in the international system composed of sovereignty nations , unrest ricted force is commonly used to settle interest conflict among nations owing to the lack of automatic adjustment of conflicting national interests ,and the lack of authority regulating the methods employed by competing nations. That is the most important characteristic of anarchy.
