Abstract
The military-industrial complex is one of the most powerful interest groups in the United States and American arms control policy is it s main target for influence. On the one hand , driven by immense commercial interests , it actively participates in influencing American arms cont rol policy; on the other , it's strong economic power and political influence provide it with
the capability to influence American arms cont rol policy. Since 9/ 11 , such influence has become more evident and the t rend will continue for a comparatively long period.
