Abstract: The United States is attempting to reshape the path of globalization because of its dissatisfaction with the traditionalglobalization, which has led to de-globalization in the areas of trade, investment and governance. Therefore, the new type ofglobalization has emerged and then flourished. Unlike traditional globalization, the impetus for this new type of globalization isgradually shifting from the United States to the countries of the Global South, its model is shifting from the "dollar-manufacturedgoods" model to the "manufactured goods-resources" model, and its governance mechanism is shifting from the traditionalmultilateral mechanism to a new type of multilateral mechanism. The U.S. policy of combating and curbing the new type ofglobalization could be summed up as driving a tariff wedge into the Global South, kicking away the technological ladder of theGlobal South and imposing the dollar bill on the Global South. The promoters of the new type of globalization needed to address thekey issues of inclusiveness, the provision of public goods and coordination among the major powers, so as to promote the sustainabledevelopment of the global economy and the harmony and stability of international relations. Keywords:Keywords: the new economic globalization, traditional globalization, multilateral mechanism, development path
