Abstract: Donald Trump's landslide victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election was decisively shaped by the electoral outcomes in the key swingstates. The economic performance of swing states emerged as a critical determinant of voter behavior. This study employs major economic indicators-GDP,inflation,income,and employment to analyze the economic conditions in swing states.Four main factors ( economic progress eroded by inflation; uneven distribution of economic gains; loss of growth momentum; and overall development worse than in the previous administration) collectively contributed to the significant gap between the macroeconomic performanceand the economic perceptions of voters, ultimately resulting in the Democratic Party's defeat.A deeper analysis of swing states economic data andexit polls further reveals that the underperformance of economically vulnera-ble demographics particularly minorities and the working class in terms ofincome and employment, coupled with historically elevated inflation rates, critically diminished the Democratic Party's traditional electoral advantagein these regions. While the election reflects broader political realignmentsacross ethnicities and classes, economic conditions remain the central catalyst for these shifts.
