Abstract: After the Trump administration took office, an unprecedented trade war broke out between China and the United States, which caused a serious impact on Sino-US economic and trade relations. After nearly two years of confrontation and compromise, China and the United States reached the Phase One Economic and Trade agreement, temporarily averting the out-of-control crisis. Taking the phase one agreement as the new starting point, China-US economic and trade relations are based on equality and reciprocity, which shows new development characteristics. Reintegration, strong competition and weak decoupling are the three most typical trends. The three trends shape eachother and jointly promote the future developmentof China-U.S. economic and trade relations. In order to ensure theoverall stability of future China-U.S. economic and trade relations, China and the United States should find a new way of interaction in which the key is to promote integration, control competition and prevent decoupling.

Keywords: trade war; phase one agreement; re-integration; weak decoupling
