【Abstract】China and the United States, as the world’s two largest economies, play a crucial role in the global economic governance. Global economic governance has made significant progress since the financial crisis, however, since Donald Trump came into power, the new administration’s interest in global governance has declined significantly, and China’s role in global economic governance has also been questioned. There has been an alarming trend that the global economic governance is retreating. The disagreements between China and the United States began to increase, which had a negative impact on global economic governance. As a result, global economic governance has witnessed new developments. Even some challenges ahead, China and the United States still need to carry out necessary cooperation around the areas of common concern of both parties, which will not only benefit China and the United States respectively, but also contribute to the steady development of the world economy.

【Key Words】China; United States; Global Economic Governance
