Abstract:  The Community of Shared Destiny in Cyberspace (CSDC) is one of the key concepts of President Xi Jinping’s thought about Internet. He not only advocated building CSDC across the world, but also put forward the "five proposals" and the "sixteen-word guideline" for it. The interpretation of the CSDC thus becomes a top priority. In this context, this paper first attempts to analyze the inevitability of CSDC as well as its association with the Community of Shared Destiny for Mankind. Then, from the perspectives of human civilization, interests, power and the future, this paper analyzes the intrinsic logic of CSDC and points out that the CSDC proposal may be greeted with suspicions related to "cyber-power" and "Internet sovereignty". Finally, the paper provides the paths and orientations for the building of CSDC in terms of consensus reaching, security guarantee, behavior logic and global governance.
