Abstract

This paper addresses the global and regional power transfer. It points out that there have been two types ofmode of power transfer - natural rep lacement or expansionist alteration. It has also defined three components of the power: natural endowment, overall output, aswell as institutional and technological innovation. At global level, Americaps power ingredients have not yet been surpassed by the next tier of power competitors. China, Japan, Russia, India and EU have not been ready to forge the shift of power globally. At regional level, such power shift has been in the making in Europe and Asia. Germany and China are ascending to the power center in their respective regions, though they are still unable to alter the global power hieratical structure.
