November 21, 1996: U.S. Secretary of State Mr. Christopher arrived at the Center in the company of the Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Mr. Zhao Qizheng, and was warmly welcomed by more than 200 Fudan faculty and students.

President Yang Fujia made a welcome speech and Mr. Christopher gave a lecture entitled “U.S. and China: Cooperation in the 21st Century”.
