January 13, 2009: Vice-President Neil Quigley and Professor Xiaoming Huang together with other delegates from Victoria University of Wellinton, New Zealand visited the center on the afternoon of January 13, discussing joint research with Fudan.

  Vice-President Xu Zheng received the guests, expressed the appreciation for graciously inviting school authorities and scholars from Fudan to participate in the Center for Contemporary China Studies that is to be established in April this year.  

  Professor Shen Dingli, Director of the CAS, Ren Xiao, Director of the Center for Chinese Diplomacy , Xin Qiang, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office in Fudan, Liu Ye, Deputy Director of External Liaison Office also met with the delegates. Director Shen Dingli and Director Ren Xiao entertained the guests with tea and exchanged extensive ideas regarding research collaboration in the field of Chinese diplomacy studies.
