From March 31 to April 4, 2009, a six-member delegation of the Center visited Washinton D. C., the Capital of the United States. From March 31 to April 1, the Center and the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University co-hosted the international academic seminar "The Financial Crisis and US-China Relations in Asia under the Obama Administration". On the afternoon of April 1, the delegation held a meeting with the Brookings Institute. From April 2 to April 3, delegated from the Center visited important American thinktanks, including Rand, United States Institute of Peace, the American Enterprrise Institute, the Henry Stimson Center, the Nuclear Threat Initiative and Pew Center on Global Climate Change, and made in-depth communication with related research staff there. They also attended the hearing at the American House of Representative regarding the satellite export control regulations and Sino-American relations. This is a fruitful visit, featuring a new trend of the Center to go out for academic exchange in an international level.
