On the morning of May 23, 2025, a delegation of 18 faculty and students from the University of Pennsylvania visited the Center for American Studies at Fudan University and participated in the “Fudan–Penn Student Workshop.”
The workshop was chaired by Professor Wu Xinbo, Dean of the Institute of International Studies and Director of the Center for American Studies at Fudan University. In his welcoming remarks, Professor Wu expressed his appreciation for the visit and shared his views on the current state of China-U.S. relations, emphasizing the importance of sustained dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.
Neysun A. Mahboubi, Director of the Penn Project on the Future of U.S.-China Relations and head of the delegation, expressed heartfelt thanks for the warm reception by the Center.






During the workshop, Associate Professor Wen Yao from the Center for American Studies and more than ten Fudan students engaged in an in-depth exchange with the Penn delegation on key issues concerning China-U.S. relations.
Following the discussion, Professor Wu also led the delegation on a tour of the Center’s exhibition hall, where he introduced the Center’s history and its long-standing engagement in U.S.-related academic exchanges.
