On May 23rd, an academic symposium was held in Center for American Studies in celebrating the 112th Anniversary of Fudan University. Professor Xinbo Wu, the director of Center for American Studies, moderated the symposium.
The theme of this year’s symposium is “Preliminary Evaluation on Trump’s Administration”. During the symposium, Dr. Wang Hao discussed the trend of recombination of political party and electorate in 2016 US presidency campaign and its influence on Trump administration. Professor Cai Cuihong elaborated on Trump’s twitter politics and ecology of US cyber politics. Associate Professor Wang Xiaofeng analyzed the “U.S. priority” and adjustment of Trump’s cyber strategy. Professor Wei Zongyou illustrated the risk of Trump and the future of Asia-pacific order. Professor Song Guoyou lectured on the global economic policy of Trump administration. Professor Shen Dingli discussed Trump’s policy on North Korean nuclear issue and Syrian chemical weapon. After the lectures follows a Q&A session where the lecturers and the audience had a wide and warm discussion and communication on the hot issues.
