On November 25th, 2019, the 2nd Series Lecture themed with "Meticulous Scholarship in Coherence with the Trajectory of Life" on "Bittersweetness—Approaching Philosophies of Academic Research" featured Professor ZHANG Yunling, Member of the Presidium of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “CASS”) Academic Divisions, Director of the Center for Regional Security Studies of CASS, Distinguished Professor of Humanities, President of the Institute of International Studies and Chair on the Academic Committee of School of Northeast Asian Studies at Shandong University. The distinguished scholar imparted quintessence of meticulous reflections tinted with vitality and vicissitudes to over fifty attendees by virtue of proactive inheritance of scrupulous academic undertakings. Professor WU Xinbo, Director of the Center for American Studies and Dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University facilitated the reverberating event.
