The seventh round of the annual strategic dialogue on "Sino-US relations and regional security" was sponsored this year by the Center for American Studies at Fudan University,the Pacific Forum CSIS,and the CNA Corporation. It studied the forces at work on the relationship and focused on ways to build and maintain positive relations between the two countries. It covered extensive topics such as "developments in regional security and bilateral relations","Cross-Strait relations", "dealing with North Korea",""bilateral military relations and global dialogue", as well as "emerging regional order in the Asia-Pacific". The dialogue was attended by 10 American experts,12 Chinese experts, as well as 15 "young leaders", whose participation makes the dialogue more representative of different opinions on the topic.
