Prof. Wu Xinbo Attends the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum

On September 13, 2024, the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum commenced at the Beijing International Convention Center. China's Defense Minister Dong Jun attended the opening ceremony, delivering a congratulatory letter from President Xi Jinping and presenting a keynote speech. This year's theme, Promoting Peace for a Shared Future, attracted over 1,800 guests, including representatives from more than 100 countries, international organizations, experts, scholars, and journalists.

Professor Wu Xinbo, Dean of the Institute of International Studies and the Center for American Studies at Fudan University, was invited to participate as a speaker in two sessions: High-end Interviews: China-U.S. Relations and The Right Way for China and the U.S. to Get Along.

In the High-end Interviews: China-U.S. Relations, hosted by renowned CGTN anchor Liu Xin, Professor Wu engaged in candid discussions with Rick Waters, former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State. This session garnered significant attention, with a full audience and extensive coverage of the insightful points raised by the speakers in both Chinese and foreign media.

During the session on The Right Way for China and the U.S. to Get Along, Professor Wu exchanged in-depth, constructive ideas with experts from the U.S., ROK, Israel, and the U.K. on promoting stability and improvement in China-U.S. relations. The atmosphere was lively, marked by enthusiastic audience participation and questions.
