On September 3rd, 2007, American Ambassador to China Clark T. Randt Jr. gave a speech at the Centre for American Studies, on the subject of 'Future Sino-American Relations'.

Mr. Ken Jarrett, head of the American embassy in Shanghai, Professor Wang Shenghong, Chancellor of Fudan University, and Shen Dingli, Director of the Centre for American Studies, attended the speech.
