January 8, 2008: The 2007 Scientific Research Review Meeting was held in the CAS in the morning.

Director Shen Dingli gave an overall review of the work the Center had done in 2007, and made plans for work in 2008; Deputy-Director Wu Xinbo elaborated on the achievements and shortcomings regarding the scientific research conducted by the Center in 2007, and presented means for future improvement; Deputy-Director Xin Qiang also made a summary of the work he was in charge of.

Director Fang Jinggang of the Scientific Research Department for Social Sciences, Fudan University, and Secretary Shen Lanfang of the Institute of International Studies also attended the meeting. Director Fang affirmed the admirable accomplishments the Center had realized in the previous year, and made some further requirements for the next year.
