June 26, 2008: Director of the CAS, Professor Shen Dingli presented the awarding certificates for “2007 Xie Xide American Studies Scholarship” to Liu Qian (School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Doctoral Candidate), Sun Suoyuan (School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Doctoral Candidate), Ye Kai (School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Master Candidate), Li Ning (School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Master Candidate). On the awarding ceremony, Professor Shen introduced the origin of the Xie Xide Scholarship, and some of Madame Xie Xide’s life stories. Afterwards the four prize-winners all expressed their acceptance speech.

Professor Xu Yihua from CAS, and Chief of Office Qiao Changsen also attended the ceremony.
