On December 1-2, 2017, organized by Center for American Studies, Fudan University and sponsored by Shanghai Institute of American Studies, the 10th U.S.-China Diplomatic Dialogue(USCDD) was held in Shanghai. In the two-day U.S.-China Diplomatic Dialogue, the young Chinese and American diplomats conducted in-depth, constructive and sincere exchanges on such issues as Sino-U.S. relations, opportunities for cooperation between China and the U.S. in the important areas, the Sino-U.S. interaction in the Asia-Pacific region since the Donald Trump-led U.S. administration and certain challenges in the course of the future development of Sino-U.S. relations.

Initiated in 2007, the U.S.-China Diplomatic Dialogue is held annually in China and the U.S. in rotation, vigorously supported by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and United States Department of State, to create a platform for young Chinese and American diplomats, seeking to generate mutual trust and improve Sino-U.S. relations.
