Professor Wu Xinbo Presented Attendance at The 9th Beijing Xiangshan Forum

  Upon the invitation of China Association for Military Sciences, Professor Wu Xinbo, Director of the Center for American Studies and Dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University presented attendance at The 9th Beijing Xiangshan Forum themed with "Maintaining International Order and Promoting Peace in the Asia-Pacific" from October 20 to 22, 2019. Invitation was extended to 76 official delegations, Ministers of National Defense of twenty-three countries, Chiefs of the Defense Forces of six countries, representatives of nine international organizations, prestigious experts, renowned scholars and observers aggregating over 1300 distinguished guests of more than 100 countries from the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa and Latin America. Air Force Gen. Xu Qiliang, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of The People's Republic of China attended the welcome dinner and addressed remarks. Gen. Wei Fenghe, State Councilor and Minister of National Defense of The People's Republic of China attended the Opening Ceremony to deliver the keynote speech. Chinese President Xi Jinping extended a congratulatory message to The 9th Beijing Xiangshan Forum that opened Monday. "China is committed to advancing cooperation through dialogue, promoting peace through cooperation, and safeguarding development through peace", President Xi said in the letter.

  Professor Wu moderated the Premiere of Session "Voices from Leading Experts" on the afternoon of October 20 with the subsequent delivery of the thematic speech in Plenary Session "Asia-Pacific Security Architecture" on the ensuing afternoon of October 21, 2019 .
