On November 9, 2019, the U.S. National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP) Delegation featuring Ambassador Susan M. Elliott, NCAFP President and CEO, Ms. Susan A. Thornton, Former Acting Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, Ambassador Raymond Burghardt, Former Chairman of the "American Institute in Taiwan", Mark Tokola, Vice President of the Korea Economic Institute of America in Washington, D.C. and NCAFP Research Fellow Rorry Daniels visited the Center for American Studies (CAS) at Fudan University. Professor WU Xinbo, Director of the Center for American Studies and Dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University facilitated the ensuing colloquium. Professor XIN Qiang, Deputy Director of Center for American Studies, Professor ZHANG Jiadong, Professor WEI Zongyou, Research Associate WANG Xiaofeng and Assistant Research Fellow WANG Hao presented attendance at the event, engaging in profound exchanges and candid dialogues with the NCAFP's delegates on correlated issues of mutual concern with regard to Sino-U.S. relations, U.S. China policy, China's Taiwan issue and the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula.
