On September 25th, 2020, the Center for American Studies (CAS) at Fudan University convened the plenary sessions over the preliminary span in the new semester, facilitated by Professor Wu Xinbo, Director of the Center for American Studies and Dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University.
Director Wu Xinbo, at the outset, briefed on and set forth the major periodic headway, summarized as well as commented on the academic, consultative decision-making yields delivered in concerted endeavors of the CAS research fellows, underlying the fundamental quintessence inherent in the criteria of Key Research Institutes of Humanities and Social Sciences in University, relevant qualitative and quantitative data therein the Database Platform of Key Research Institutes of Humanities and Social Sciences in University correspondingly with detailed and phased layouts. The research fellows present at the convention engaged in multi-dimensional and wide-ranging exchanges of insights and probed into outlook with regard to academic outputs, research trail-blazing innovation & competence-building, expertise team integration, overall sketches of major projects, international cooperation and academic exchanges, information construction, decision-making, consultancy services and so forth．
In the ensuing sessions, Deputy Director Song Guoyou presented the editorial publication of Fudan American Review, Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) source core journal issued by CAS and progress in constructing the Database of International Relations at Fudan University. Deputy Director Xin Qiang elaborated upon the specific routine maintenance and day-to-day managerial implementation within the spheres of operating and forging the construction of the Database Platform of Key Research Institutes of Humanities and Social Sciences in University correspondingly.
