On June 5, 2025, the second session of the China–U.S. High-Level Track II Dialogue was convened in Beijing. The dialogue was co-chaired by Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, and Evan Greenberg, Executive Vice Chair of the National Committee on U.S.–China Relations. Representatives from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on strategic, security, and economic and trade issues.
Wu Xinbo, Dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University, Director of the Center for American Studies, and Vice Dean of the Fudan Development Institute, participated in the dialogue as a member of the Chinese delegation by invitation.

Other members of the Chinese delegation included: Qiu Yuanping, former Executive Deputy Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee; Cui Tiankai, Advisor to the Council of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs and former Ambassador to the United States; Zhu Min, former Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China; Fang Xinghai, former Vice Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission; Wang Yiming, former Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council; Yao Qin, former Deputy Director of the Office for International Military Cooperation of the Central Military Commission; Zhou Xiaoli, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs; and Li Shimo, Chairman of Chengwei Ventures LLC., and founder of The Observer and Beijing Dialogue.
Later that day, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with the visiting U.S. delegation.
